ABOUT QPSP

Through the last few decades, Quality and Productivity have broadened its scope to cover not only the products and services, but also the processes, systems, strategies and management of organizations. They have become essential ingredients of any individual, organization, business, or community. Today, the big challenge is how to put Quality and Productivity at the service of entire society as a strategy to become competitive nationally and globally.

For a number of years, Quality and Productivity professionals in Pakistan have been dreaming to join and work together on a similar pattern to that of some popular international organizations in this field, e.g. American Society for Quality (ASQ), Institute of Quality Assurance (UK), Japanese Society for Quality Control (JSQC), etc. They have been working on the basic framework of such an organization for the past few years. On Nov 22, 2003, the eve of 27th of the holy month of Ramadhan, nine of them from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad assembled in Lahore and laid the foundation of Quality and Productivity Society of Pakistan (QPSP). Its vision is to build Pakistan a world-class country.

The members of QPSP will provide professional guidance and impetus to design and implement strategies in line with the vision of the Society. With better technological developments and changing societal and global needs, new focused areas are required for our industry and organizations. The Society is a non profit professional body registered under Societies Registration Act XXI-1860. It is owned and run by its members. Its membership will include students, professionals and organizations, who are interested in the growth of Quality and Productivity. The leadership will be provided by its own members through an elected Executive Body which will work on voluntary basis.
With God willing and our mutual vision, integrity and selfless efforts, we hope to strengthen the country on the basis of Quality, Productivity and Competitiveness for a better future of the coming generations.

Vision and Mission

With a vision to build together the world-class Pakistan, the QPSP will promote Quality and Productivity concepts, principles and techniques leading towards realization of this vision.

Membership

Membership is open to all Quality & Productivity Manager, Auditors, Consultants, Students and all those who subscribe to the vision and mission and code of ethics of the society, whether living within or outside of Pakistan. Memberships are available both at the individual and corporate level.
